The first occupation I remember was Iraq by the US in the early 90s. I seem to remember reading about other occupations as well, but it turns out any bunch of reasonably-organized people can occupy just about wherever. Beginning with the Arab Spring, occupation 1.0 or 2.0 or whatever you want to call it is now coordinated completely online (not necessarily entirely, but at least the important stuff).

The long term effects of group thought synchronized on social media networks.

Now, as people begin to coordinate occupation using varius forms of social media networks, instibility is being addressed…. in a way that I’m already bored of.

Marilyn on Gaddafi is a statement of ambivalence toward popular iconography validated by various social media networks.
